What do you think of the layout? colours? logo? ease of use? is anything confusing? the sign-up and sign-in options? should comments be allowed on answers? .... anything you can think of.

I've been using the Yahoo Answers site for years and find it very easy to use.

The first thing I noticed about this site is that the division between the answers is not clear enough. Also, when I click on an question to answer, my eyes were wandering around not really seeing where the question was, where the answers were... ...and, oh, there it is, and... ah, I see. If you want people to use the site, it's must be much more clear and immediate (people will leave fast if they get stalled).

I agree with Scocasso. I'd also like to see more shades of green. I always feel safer on websites that have shades of say British Racing Green or Harlequin Jungle Green, or maybe even Emerald Celadon Green. In this day and age, I believe it's important to feel safe and out of harm's reach when exploring the internet.

When I try to use the Validate Your Email Address link, I get a 404 Not Found page error.

A few users have had problems with their validation link. We are looking into that.

In your particular case, your validation link has expired. You can re-send a new validation link from your profile page.

We are going to increase the validation link to expire after a week.

We will change it so that when you click on an expired validation link, it will let you know that it has expired and automatically send you a new one.

This should be fixed now. When you click on an expired link, it will automatically send you a new one and let you know.

Forget about colours and layouts. Instead, take a hard look at ease of use.

I first came to this site when a friend recommended it to me. I went straight to the home page, and was greeted with the list of questions, each with "vote", "answers" and other buttons, and more buttons for some sort to tags.

There was no explanation of what the site is all about, who it's aimed at, who runs it, or how to use it. Nor any kind of welcome message.

I persevered and started using it, but I suspect the majority of first-time visitors would be completely bewildered, and would immediately give up and go somewhere else.

So, remember, most first-time visitors will be arriving at the site with no idea of what it all means. The first thing they should see is not a long-list of questions, but a short welcome and a very brief explanation of what the site has to offer.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback. I've quickly learned on day 1 that the site should be easier to use. I've been thinking a lot about what to do to improve that. There is a small welcome message at the site when you first visit it and it refers you to the guide. Although, no one seems to have noticed it. I was debating whether to make the front page a guide or not. I think your feedback will tip the scale in favor of making it a guide.

There will be quite a few design/user-interface changes in the coming weeks.

I hope my comments didn't sound too negative. I'm getting to like the site, and will definitely come again.

I've changed the homepage of the site to be an introduction and basic guide. Hope it helps.
