There are messages everywhere that tell us that the consumption of animal products is necessary and that it's useless, radical, or overly-sensitive to swim against the stream. For some, the shift is like the flick of a switch, but I think for most of us it's a gradual process that has its weak moments, especially early on. How do you combat propaganda & habit and train yourself to always think of the bigger picture? Which ideas, books, authors, podcasts, events, organizations, websites, etc do you draw strength from when you need to re-affirm? What gives you hope?

For me, it's Colleen Patrick-Goudreau & Compassionate Cooks. I have Colleen's Vegetarian Food for Thought podcast to thank for keeping me rooted deep in my values and teaching me to be a joyful and dedicated advocate for animals.

Also, many thanks to the wonderful book Becoming Vegan!
