Is it for health reasons? Ethical reasons? Or something else? Just curious what percentage of veg people are in it for what reason. asked Nov 06 '10 at 19:39 philim |
I'm vegetarian for health reasons: the health of the animals I would otherwise be eating. (Not original. I think it was Isaac Bashevis Singer who first said that.) answered Nov 08 '10 at 02:06 Mikl |
Ethics!! All creatures have the right to live free from chains - including humans! We are all connected; I revere all life and value peace, freedom and love. answered Nov 08 '10 at 14:55 alissa |
because i love animals to much to eat them ......also a vegan lifestyle is so healthy....your skin feels cleaner ...you don't get sick as much ....i love being vegan ..... answered Nov 25 '10 at 22:38 paigemarie |
A variety of reasons, primarily ethical reasons. Working around animals made me think, no - we can do better than this. It's just not necessary. Second is health - I have always struggled with my weight and have lost a lot of body fat since going vegan, plus I feel fitter and happier in general. answered Nov 09 '10 at 14:25 Yukarangz |
Primary is health, I was selfish, I wanted to feel better about my body and live longer in this world. Secondary is environment, I need a world to live in. I figure the longer we can survive in it, the better chance we have of getting on top of our decision making and how bad it is. I am concerned about animal rights, but this is my order. |
