I have had people assume I am pro life because I am vegan and I choose not to consume dead animals.

This blog post on miscarriages got me thinking about how far this issue is being pushed.

I am pro-choice when it comes to abortion. As a vegan, I recognize that animals - just like humans - are individuals that have a right to their own bodies. Similarly, I believe women should have a choice as to what happens to their bodies. This includes whether or not they carry a pregnancy to term. Access to abortion needs to be safe and legal, especially for women who are victims of rape/incest or need to terminate pregnancies that are threatening their life.

I am vegan for the same reason I am prochoice. NO sentient being should be used/held captive for her organs/eggs/milk against her will.

I think this is silly. Being vegan does not dictate your beliefs on such issues. I understand when someone has a certain ideal, their opinion on other issues fall in that relm but you cannot really draw direct correlation. Everyone is different.
