My family are trying a vegan diet and I miss fish. Can you help my mom find a substitute. I like fish cakes.

thanks

You can either make your own http://www.peta.org/living/food/fabulous-fish-fakes/

Now Gardein makes fillet fish http://gardein.com/products/golden-fishless-filet/

There are other brands on the market

I will also post this to my site under meat alternatives

Yes there are vegan substitutes for fish. You typically need to go to specialty stores to get them. I've also seen it in several Asian vegetarian restaurants.

In Vancouver, BC. there is a store called Veggie Favour at 3296 Cambie St - 604-879-2928. They sell all sorts of imitations including fish, shrimp, lobster, and I think crab.

Not everything in the store is vegan, check the ingredients.
