This question did so well for Vancouver, I thought I would ask for Burnaby as well since I am there quite often. In particular the Metrotown area.

It would be nice to have a list of non-vegetarian restaurants that are vegan friendly. Restaurants that know what vegan is or even better have items on their menu labelled as vegan.

I like the food court in Metrotown - they have some good options there. You can get a bean burrito, salad & fruit from the salad bar place (very expensive), chinese stir fry with rice, and possibly indian curry (as long as the curry place doesn't use real ghee).

I've also heard good things about the vegan options at Green Basil Thai restaurant near Metrotown, though I haven't been there myself.

I've eaten at the Green Basil. It was pretty good. Compared to other Thai restaurants in Vancouver, it is pretty easy to make sure the food is vegan.

That is great to know! I love thai food and want to try it out one day when I'm in the area.
